Kathleen brings over a decade of public relations, crisis management and marketing expertise to the agency. Since 1996, Kathleen has managed PR departments for private and public companies. Kathleen was instrumental in navigating a Raleigh-based online advertising company towards its $55M acquisition at the time, the largest in the Raleigh-Durham area's history.

During her year tenure at online advertising company Engage, Kathleen managed a team of internal PR directors and several agencies around the globe. Under her watch, Engage acquired numerous companies and went public. She served on the communications committee of the Network Advertising Initiative and was involved with legislative affairs related to the Federal Trade Commission. She also played a pivotal role by successfully guiding Engage through several potential crisis situations.

Over the past 7 years, Kathleen has continued to leverage her PR knowledge at blast! PR and has extended her area of expertise to include anything from wireless communications to anti-spam strategies. In addition to a great rolodex and the ability to secure meetings and place stories, she follows a no-nonsense approach to PR and has been cited for her expertise in ABC News, Associated Press, ClickZ, NY Times, the Raleigh News and Observer, and others. Kathleen holds a B.S. in Zoology and a minor in Botany from Eastern Illinois University.
